How is it calculated?
It's not a magic robot — it's the statistics of the UAE's own listing data. Here's how:
Real listings
Live, approved listings with a visible price in the UAE. Listings marked "I'd rather not say" with an AED 0 price, or with hidden prices, are excluded.
Outliers don't skew it
So one unusually cheap or expensive listing doesn't distort the estimate, we sort the prices and take the middle value. We also show the "typical range" that half of all listings fall within.
AED & USD, one scale
Listings are priced in AED or USD. USD amounts are converted to AED at the fixed AED–USD peg before comparing — apples to apples.
Same model, close year
We compare listings of the same make + model within ±2 years. At least 3 listings are needed for a reliable estimate; otherwise we don't show one.
